Knipton Reservoir

A few distance shots of Knipton reservoir.

The water supply channel to the canal runs for the most part, in a brick tunnel under the northern edge of Blackberry Hill on which stands Belvoir Castle. It discharges into the canal east of Muston Gorse Bridge 57.

Mid section view of the reservoir from the lane.

Southern end of the reservoir, the site where a Lancaster air craft attempted to make an emergency landing in the 1940's. Sadly, the plane exploded on impact with no survivors.
